After an introduction a few years ago in Quebec, the oversized tire bicycle, better known by the nickname of fatbike, has become an all-season leisure activity in good and due form for a large clientele.

The fatbike allows, thanks to its tires twice as wide as those of a mountain bike and their low air pressure, to ride on snow, sand or any other surface not very compacted, which would make it difficult or even impossible to progress with another type of bike. Parc National des Îles-de-Boucherville offers equipment rental to try and practice this sport that is gaining in popularity.

Owned by Tennis Canada, the Canadian Tennis Tournament, currently sponsored as the Rogers Cup, is a professional tennis tournament that is held annually alternately at Montreal’s IGA Stadium and Toronto’s Aviva Centre. This is one of the oldest tennis tournaments with Wimbledon and the US Open.

The Volta Bowling Alley in Boucherville, located on Montreal’s South Shore, introduces a new way to bowl. Unique in Quebec, the new system allows players to create an environment and choose an objective, such as reaching the target, building a monster, destroying the opposing castle, etc. From a tablet computer, the player takes a picture of himself and becomes the face of different characters. League players are entitled to multiple statistics. The results of the bowling night are broadcast in a matter of seconds on their smartphone.

The Old Port offers Montrealers and tourists access to many activities in both summer and winter. The Old Port Corporation, with the help of partners, ensures the animation of the site through cultural events such as the Montréal en Lumière Festival, Igloofest, the Grand Voiliers Festival and the International Reggae Festival. A few kilometres from the metropolitan area, there is Mont-Saint-Bruno National Park. Five lakes, an orchard, a historic mill and tens of kilometres of trails make this park a true island of nature in an urban environment. Hundreds of species of flowers, trees and plants fill the area.

Îles-de-Boucherville National Park Bicycle Trail – A 21-km network of trails allows cyclists and walkers to share the road and discover the site’s most beautiful attractions. Enjoy picnic stops and magnificent views, while enjoying independent discovery activities. The relatively flat terrain is suitable for the whole family. The Île Grosbois also offers a variety of trails that are developed and accessible to everyone, on foot or by bike.

Bicycles for adults and children as well as tandem bicycles are available for rental by the hour, half-day or full day. For campers, bike rental is available at the rental centre on Île Sainte-Marguerite and at the Grosbois service centre.
